Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government to the next generation of global leaders for development. Through study and research, recipients develop the skills and knowledge to drive change and help build enduring people-to-people links with Australia and the Pacific region.


 Australia Awards aim to:

  • develop capacity and leadership skills so that individuals can contribute to development in their home country; and
  • build people-to-people links at the individual, institutional and country level.

Australia Awards in 2019

Australia Awards Scholarships will be offered in 2018 for study commencing in 2019.

The application period starts on 1 March 2018 and closes on 31 March 2018.

Levels of Study

Australia Awards Scholarships provide citizens of Vanuatu with the opportunity to obtain a qualification at an Australian or Pacific tertiary institution. For study commencing in 2019, Australia Awards Scholarships will be offered at undergraduate and post graduate levels.

Information sessions

The Australia Awards Vanuatu team has rescheduled the information sessions and they are as follows:

  • An information session for the general public and private sector employees is scheduled for Wednesday 14 March 2018, commencing at 1pm. The session will be held at Chantilly’s.
